Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back, I hope you all had a good break. While it is now the Summer Term it is still chilly at the minute so, please ensure your child still brings a coat to school for the time being. Once the weather does hopefully warm up the children will then need to bring a hat and to have sun cream applied before school. We do spend long periods of time outside during this term and these measures will help to keep the children safe and comfortable.
Relationships Education
This half term, we will be Starting our annual Relationships Education. Lessons will run over this half term and continue after the half term break. The school policy and scheme overview are on the school website on the policies page should you wish to look at it. Please contact the school office to speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any queries or would like more information.
Swimming
From 6th May we will have the swimming pool at our school again for our KS2 (Polar Bears, Rhinos and Elephants) pupils to receive daily swimming lessons. Parents in those classes please look out for another email later in the term with more information.
Fred Perry Tennis Trust Community Programme
The LA are offering free Fred Perry Tennis Trust Community Programme Park tennis sessions.
The programme will be delivered at Moor Park and will provide 10 weeks of completely free tennis sessions (3 hours per week) for children aged 6-11.

Nursery
The school is considering moving from having a maintained nursery class to a Governor‑Led Nursery, delivered under Section 27 of the Education Act 2002. This model is already used successfully by many primary schools and will enable us to future proof provision.
A Governor‑Led model should offer more flexibility in staffing and organisation to better meet our children’s needs. We are currently consulting with the community around this change. Holidays
School breaks up for the half term holidays at 3.15pm on Friday 22nd May. We are back to school on Tuesday 2nd June.
