We have had some children who have had new babies in their families. The children wanted to tell everybody about their new baby sisters, brothers, cousins and even becoming an auntie.

The children sat in a circle and described who lived in their house and who was in their family. They noticed that they all have different people in their families. Some children live with Mummy, Daddy and siblings, some children live with their Daddies or Mummy, some children live with their grandparents and some children live with their carers who they call Mummy. Some children have lots of brothers and sisters and some children do not. We also talked about how some of our families live in different countries and we visit them by going on an aeroplane.

We looked at a variety of diverse family pictures and celebrated all of the differences within our families.
